On the 9th Day of Christmas ....

I bought a menorah this year.

I was inspired by a friend who posted her thoughts about the subtle and continued oppression that continues to bubble in our nation.

The issues are so much bigger than going out and buying a menorah to understand a practice I have no exposure to or experience with. But it’s a start to an open heart and a desire to invite the conversation into my home. I’ve already learned that Hanukkah represents a celebration of religious freedom for Jewish families. I didn’t know that, and I think it’s something worth celebrating.
