This piece was the beginning of a series that incorporated natural elements with the ceramic work. I hoped to begin to make some pieces that were more sculptural contrasting the smooth walls of wheel thrown ceramics with the raw and unpredictable elements of nature. These are my most favorite works to date.

These pieces are more decorative, can be used as vases or food but should not be submerged in water to protect the integrity of the natural elements and their secure attachment to the ceramic piece.
